Halogen bonding between metal centers and halocarbons
TL;DR: Metal-involving halogen bonding was detected in a series of associates of CHI3 with trans-[PtX2(NCNAlk2)2] (X = Cl, Br) and the bifurcated HI2C-Iη(2)(Pt-Cl) halogen bonds were observed and confirmed theoretically.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pursuing reliable thermal analysis techniques for energetic materials: decomposition kinetics and thermal stability of dihydroxylammonium 5,5′-bistetrazole-1,1′-diolate (TKX-50)
Nikita V. Muravyev,Konstantin A. Monogarov,Andrey F. Asachenko,Mikhail S. Nechaev,Ivan V. Ananyev,Igor V. Fomenkov,Vitaly G. Kiselev,Alla N. Pivkina +7 more
TL;DR: This study revealed that none of the Arrhenius parameters reported before can properly describe the complex two-stage decomposition process of TKX-50, and showed the superior performance of the isoconversional methods combined with isothermal measurements, which yielded the most reliable kinetic parameters of TkX- 50 thermolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
H2C(X)–X···X– (X = Cl, Br) Halogen Bonding of Dihalomethanes
Daniil M. Ivanov,Mikhail A. Kinzhalov,Alexander S. Novikov,Ivan V. Ananyev,Anna A. Romanova,Vadim P. Boyarskiy,Matti Haukka,Vadim Yu. Kukushkin +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dihalomethane-halide H2C(X)−X···X− (X = Cl, Br) halogen bonding was detected in a series of the cis-PdX(CNCy){C(NHCy)═NHC6H2Me2NH2}]X•CH2X2 (X, Br), associates by single-crystal XRD followed by DFT calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrophilic–Nucleophilic Dualism of Nickel(II) toward Ni···I Noncovalent Interactions: Semicoordination of Iodine Centers via Electron Belt and Halogen Bonding via σ-Hole
Zarina M. Bikbaeva,Daniil M. Ivanov,Alexander S. Novikov,Ivan V. Ananyev,Nadezhda A. Bokach,Vadim Yu. Kukushkin +5 more
TL;DR: This work is the first emphasizing electrophilic-nucleophilic dualism of any metal center toward noncovalent interactions and identifies three types of Ni···I contacts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Highly Luminescent, Water‐Soluble Lanthanide Fluorobenzoates: Syntheses, Structures and Photophysics, Part I: Lanthanide Pentafluorobenzoates
Alena S. Kalyakina,Alena S. Kalyakina,Valentina V. Utochnikova,Valentina V. Utochnikova,Ivan S. Bushmarinov,Ivan V. Ananyev,Igor L. Eremenko,Daniel Volz,Daniel Volz,Franziska Rönicke,Ute Schepers,Rik Van Deun,Alexander L. Trigub,Yan V. Zubavichus,Natalia P. Kuzmina,Stefan Bräse +15 more
TL;DR: A pure europium luminescence with a PLQY of 29 % was achieved due to the effectively utilized sensitization strategy (pfb)(-) →Tb→Eu, and investigation of the crystal structures of the complexes in powder form and as single crystals by using X-ray diffraction revealed five different structural types.
