Multi-mode horn design and beam characteristics for the Planck satellite
J. A. Murphy,T. Peacocke,Bruno Maffei,I. McAuley,F. Noviello,F. Noviello,V. Yurchenko,Peter A. R. Ade,Giorgio Savini,J.-M. Lamarre,J. Brossard,J. Brossard,R. Colgan,Emily Gleeson,Andrew E. Lange,Y. Longval,Giampaolo Pisano,J.-L. Puget,I. Ristorcelli,R. Sudiwala,R. Sudiwala,Richard Wylde +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the approach to modeling high frequency channels and discuss how the optical requirements on the horn designs are met in terms of spillover, edge taper, illumination of the telescope aperture and beam patterns on the sky.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, a parameter estimation analysis of the polarization and temperature power spectra from the second and third season of observations with the QUaD experiment is presented, which is the first time for meaningful polarization-only parameter analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parameter Estimation from Improved Measurements of the Cosmic Microwave Background from QUaD
S. Gupta,Peter A. R. Ade,J. J. Bock,J. J. Bock,M. Bowden,M. Bowden,Michael L. Brown,G. Cahill,P. G. Castro,P. G. Castro,Sarah E. Church,Thomas Culverhouse,R. B. Friedman,K. Wu,Michael Zemcov +38 more
TL;DR: In this article, the contribution of cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization spectra to cosmological parameter constraints is evaluated and the best-fit confidence regions for the ΛCDM six-parameter cosmology model are consistent with each other.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Ultra-low-noise transition edge sensors for the SAFARI L-band on SPICA
David J. Goldie,J. R. Gao,J. R. Gao,Dorota Glowacka,Douglas Griffin,R. A. Hijmering,Pourya Khosropanah,Brian Jackson,Philip Daniel Mauskopf,Dmitry Morozov,J. A. Murphy,Marcel L. Ridder,Neil Trappe,Créidhe O'Sullivan,Stafford Withington +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the design, fabrication and testing of 388-element arrays of MoAu TESs integrated with far-infrared absorbers and optical coupling structures in a geometry appropriate for the SAFARI L-band.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rajguru,N. Rajguru,Ben Rusholme,R. Schwarz,Andy Taylor,K. L. Thompson,A. H. Turner,E. Y. S. Wu,Michael Zemcov,Michael Zemcov,Michael Zemcov +39 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the contribution of cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization spectra to cosmological parameter constraints is evaluated and the best-fit confidence regions for the LCDM 6-parameter cosmology model are consistent with each other and polarization data reduces the confidence regions on all parameters.
