ESMO-ESGO consensus conference recommendations on ovarian cancer: pathology and molecular biology, early and advanced stages, borderline tumours and recurrent disease
Nicoletta Colombo,Cristiana Sessa,A. du Bois,Jonathan A. Ledermann,WG McCluggage,Iain A. McNeish,P. Morice,Sandro Pignata,Isabelle Ray-Coquard,Ignace Vergote,Thaïs Baert,I. Belaroussi,A. Witteveen,AG Zeimet +46 more
TL;DR: The recommendations presented here are based on the best available evidence and expert agreement and are presented with a summary of evidence supporting each recommendation.
Journal ArticleDOI
EZH2 Generates a Methyl Degron that Is Recognized by the DCAF1/DDB1/CUL4 E3 Ubiquitin Ligase Complex
Ji Min Lee,Jason Sang Hun Lee,Hyun-Kyung Kim,Kyeongkyu Kim,Hye-Jin Park,Jiyoung Kim,Seung Hoon Lee,Ik Soo Kim,J. W. Kim,Minkyoung Lee,Chin Ha Chung,Sang Beom Seo,Jong Bok Yoon,Eunyoung Ko,Dong-Young Noh,Keun Il Kim,Kyeong Kyu Kim,Sung Hee Baek +17 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that EZH2-DCAF1/DDB1/CUL4 represents a previously unrecognized methylation-dependent ubiquitination machinery specifically recognizing "methyl degron"; through this, nonhistone protein stability can be dynamically regulated in a methylation -dependent manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
Overall survival results of AGO-OVAR16: A phase 3 study of maintenance pazopanib versus placebo in women who have not progressed after first-line chemotherapy for advanced ovarian cancer
Ignace Vergote,A. du Bois,Anne Floquet,Jörn Rau,J. W. Kim,J. M. Del Campo,Michael Friedlander,Sandro Pignata,Keiichi Fujiwara,Nicoletta Colombo,Mansoor Raza Mirza,Bradley J. Monk,I Tsibulak,Paula Calvert,Thomas J. Herzog,Lars Hanker,Jérôme Meunier,Jung Yun Lee,A. Bologna,M.J. Carrasco-Alfonso,P. Harter +20 more
TL;DR: Although pazopanib prolonged PFS, this was not associated with improvement in median OS, and no new safety signals were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
KDM3A histone demethylase functions as an essential factor for activation of JAK2−STAT3 signaling pathway
Hyun-Kyung Kim,Dong Ha Kim,Seon Ah Choi,Chang Rok Kim,Se Kyu Oh,Ki Eun Pyo,J. W. Kim,Seung Hoon Lee,Jong Bok Yoon,Yi Zhang,Sung Hee Baek +10 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that lysine-specific demethylase 3A (KDM3A) functions as an essential epigenetic enzyme for the activation of JAK2−STAT3 signaling pathway, which is essential for modulating cellular development, differentiation, and homeostasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pontin functions as an essential coactivator for Oct4-dependent lincRNA expression in mouse embryonic stem cells
Kyungjin Boo,Jinhyuk Bhin,Yoon Kyung Jeon,J. W. Kim,Hijai R. Shin,Jong-Eun Park,Kyeong Kyu Kim,Chang Rok Kim,Hyonchol Jang,In-Hoo Kim,V. Narry Kim,Daehee Hwang,Ho Lee,Sung Hee Baek +13 more
TL;DR: It is found that Pontin chromatin remodelling factor plays an essential role as a coactivator for Oct4 for maintenance of pluripotency in mouse ES cells, and the Oct4-Pontin module plays critical roles in the regulation of genes involved in ES cell fate determination.
