Regulation of Interorganellar Ca2+ Transfer and NFAT Activation by the Mitochondrial Ca2+ Uniporter

TL;DR: In this article, the MCU-knockout (MCU-KO) was shown to increase cytosolic Ca2+ in response to store depletion, and physiological agonist stimulation was found to increase the frequency of endoplasmic reticulum ca2+ oscillations and NFAT nuclear translocation and proliferation.

Curvature dependence of propagating velocity for a simplified calcium model

TL;DR: It is shown that for a caricature model of intracellular calcium dynamics, although its temporal dynamics can be investigated by analogy with the FHN model, the curvature relation does not obey the linear eikonal equation even in the limiting case.

The Nonlinear Dynamics of Calcium

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors review the current understanding of the nonlinear dynamics of calcium waves and oscillations, restricting their attention almost wholly to deterministic models, and propose a deterministic model of the dynamics of free cytosolic calcium.
