Journal ArticleDOI

High External Potassium Induces an Increase in the Phosphorylation of the Cytoskeletal Protein MAP2 in Rat Hippocampal Slices

TL;DR: Changes in the phosphorylation level bf MAP2 might be involved in synaptic remodelling in hippocampal neurons, and a peptide containing the tubulin‐binding domain of the MAP2 molecule may be phosphorylated by protein kinases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Future Prospects of Gene Therapy for Friedreich's Ataxia.

TL;DR: A review of the state of the art of gene therapy in Friedreich's ataxia, addressing the main challenges and the most feasible solutions for them is provided in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Downregulation of glycogen synthase kinase-3beta (GSK-3beta) protein expression during neuroblastoma IMR-32 cell differentiation.

TL;DR: It is reported that the downregulation of the GSK‐3β protein is an early event in the course of the differentiation of human neuroblastoma IMR‐32 cells, accompanied by a significant decrease in the phosphorylation state of tau protein.
Journal ArticleDOI

Depletion of catalytic and regulatory subunits of protein kinase CK2 by antisense oligonucleotide treatment of neuroblastoma cells.

TL;DR: Selective depletion of the regulatory (β) subunit of protein kinase CK2 by an specific antisense oligonucleotide causes partial inhibition of neurite extension.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of phosphorylated MAPIB in neuritogenesis

TL;DR: The results suggest distinct roles for both types of modifications of MAPlB in developing neurons in neuroblastoma cells and hippocampal neurons.
