Journal ArticleDOI
Investigating the genetic basis of vertebrate dispersal combining RNA‐seq, RAD‐seq and quantitative genetics
Luis M. San-Jose,Elvire Bestion,Félix Pellerin,Murielle Richard,L. Di Gesu,Jordi Salmona,Laurane Winandy,Delphine Legrand,Camille Bonneaud,Olivier Guillaume,Olivier Calvez,Kathryn R. Elmer,Andrey A. Yurchenko,Hans Recknagel,Jean Clobert,Julien Cote +15 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the genetic basis of natal dispersal in a known ecological and evolutionary model of vertebrate dispersal: the common lizard, Zootoca vivipara.
Processes at the origin of similarities in dispersal behaviour among siblings
Manuel Massot,Jean Clobert +1 more
TL;DR: A genetic basis of dispersal is necessary for selection acts on this trait as discussed by the authors, however, it is not known whether the dispersal propensity is genetically determined or depends upon their ontogeny or natal environment.
Posted ContentDOI
Social information use for spatial decision in Zootoca vivipara
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used common lizards (Zootoca vivipara) in a replicated experimental setting, where one focal individual received information from two other individuals coming from peripheral environments, before being given the opportunity to relocate in one or another of the peripheral environments.
