TL;DR: Procedures for testing organic solar cell devices and modules with respect to stability and operational lifetime are described and generally agreed test conditions and practices are generally agreed to allow ready comparison between laboratories and to help improving the reliability of reported values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flexible organic P3HT:PCBM bulk-heterojunction modules with more than 1 year outdoor lifetime
Jens Hauch,Pavel Schilinsky,Stelios A. Choulis,Richard Childers,Markus Biele,Christoph J. Brabec +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, flexible organic solar cells and modules based on P3ht:PCBM bulk-heterojunctions were fabricated and their lifetime was investigated under laboratory and outdoor conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production Aspects of Organic Photovoltaics and Their Impact on the Commercialization of Devices
TL;DR: The potential of fabricating organic photovoltaic elements on low-cost, thin plastic substrates by standard printing and coating techniques and packaged by lamination is not only intriguing, but highly attractive from a cost standpoint.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simulation of light intensity dependent current characteristics of polymer solar cells
TL;DR: In this article, an extended replacement circuit describing the currentvoltage characteristics of bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells at different light bias levels is introduced and discussed, and an extraction model for photogenerated carriers taking into account the effective reduction of the mean distance which the charge carriers cover when sweeping the electrical bias through the fourth quadrant of the solar cell.
Journal ArticleDOI
Physics of organic bulk heterojunction devices for photovoltaic applications
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated organic photovoltaic devices consisting of bulk heterojunction layers made from several material combinations, and the consequences of the pn-junction-like behavior on the device parameters and performance are presented.
