Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of aortic valve tract dynamics using automatic tracking of 3D transesophageal echocardiographic images
Sandro Queirós,Pedro Morais,Wolfgang Fehske,Alexandros Papachristidis,Jens-Uwe Voigt,Jaime C. Fonseca,Jan D'hooge,João L. Vilaça,João L. Vilaça +8 more
TL;DR: The presented software tool allows a fast, automatic and reproducible dynamic assessment of the AV morphology from 3D-TEE images, with the extracted measures influencing the device selection depending on the cardiac moment used to perform its sizing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Real-time myocardial contrast stress echocardiography using bolus application.
TL;DR: Bolus administration of CA is feasible in quantitative real-time MCE by a CA bolus application during Adenosine stress echocardiography to diagnose coronary artery disease (CAD).
Journal ArticleDOI
The Impact of Function-Flow Interaction on Left Ventricular Efficiency in Patients with Conduction Abnormalities: A Particle Image Velocimetry and Tissue Doppler Study
TL;DR: LV flow pattern analysis by echocardiographic particle image velocimetry reveals that conduction delay due to LBBB or pacemaker stimulation in the right ventricle (DDD) disturbs the transfer of kinetic energy during the cardiac cycle and causes less efficient LV function.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inter-vendor variability in strain measurements depends on software rather than image characteristics
Serkan Ünlü,Serkan Ünlü,Oana Mirea,Oana Mirea,S Bezy,Jürgen Duchenne,Efstathios D. Pagourelias,Efstathios D. Pagourelias,Jan Bogaert,James D. Thomas,Luigi P. Badano,Jens-Uwe Voigt +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the reproducibility, accuracy, and scar detection ability of echocardiographic strain measurements on images from different vendors by using a vendor-independent software.
Journal ArticleDOI
Importance of systematic right ventricular assessment in cardiac resynchronization therapy candidates: a machine-learning approach
Elena Galli,Virginie Le Rolle,Otto A. Smiseth,Jürgen Duchenne,Jürgen Duchenne,John M Aalen,C K Larsen,E. Sade,Arnaud Hubert,Smitha Anilkumar,Martin Penicka,Cecilia Linde,Christophe Leclercq,Alfredo Hernandez,Jens-Uwe Voigt,Jens-Uwe Voigt,Erwan Donal +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, a combination of the Boruta algorithm and random forest methods was used to identify features predicting both CRT volumetric response and prognosis, and selected features were associated with particularly good prediction of CRT response.
