Journal ArticleDOI
Primary bone diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: a retrospective evaluation on 76 cases from French institutional and LYSA studies
Sylvain Pilorge,Stephanie Harel,Vincent Ribrag,Frédérique Larousserie,Lise Willems,Patricia Franchi,Marielle Legoff,David Biau,Philippe Anract,Christian Roux,Estelle Blanc-Autran,Richard Delarue,Christian Gisselbrecht,Nicolas Ketterer,Christian Recher,Christophe Bonnet,Frederic Peyrade,Corinne Haioun,Hervé Tilly,Gilles Salles,Pauline Brice,Didier Bouscary,Bénédicte Deau,Jerome Tamburini +23 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that radiotherapy may be useful as a consolidation modality in PB-DLBCL and positron emission tomography/CT scan should be interpreted with caution due to a persistent [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose [18FDG] uptake of bone lesions even after remission in some patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
AMPK-PERK axis represses oxidative metabolism and enhances apoptotic priming of mitochondria in acute myeloid leukemia.
Adrien Grenier,Laury Poulain,Johanna Mondesir,Arnaud Jacquel,Claudie Bosc,Lucille Stuani,Sarah Mouche,Clément Larrue,Ambrine Sahal,Rudy Birsen,Victoria Ghesquier,Justine Decroocq,Fetta Mazed,Mireille Lambert,Mamy Andrianteranagna,Benoit Viollet,Patrick Auberger,Andrew N. Lane,Pierre Sujobert,Didier Bouscary,Jean-Emmanuel Sarry,Jerome Tamburini +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors showed that the unfolded protein response (UPR) is activated by AMPK in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells and showed that selective AMPK-activating compounds kill AML cells by rewiring mitochondrial metabolism that primes mitochondria to apoptosis by BH3 mimetics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nucleophosmin status may influence the therapeutic decision in de novo acute myeloid leukemia with normal karyotype
Valérie Bardet,Valérie Bardet,L D Costa,Caroline Elie,Sébastien Malinge,Cécile Demur,Jerome Tamburini,P C Lefebvre,Francis Witz,Bruno Lioure,Eric Jourdan,Arnaud Pigneux,Norbert Ifrah,Michel Attal,François Dreyfus,François Dreyfus,Patrick Mayeux,Catherine Lacombe,Catherine Lacombe,A Bennaceur-Griscelli,Olivier Bernard,Didier Bouscary,Didier Bouscary,Christian Recher +23 more
TL;DR: Nucleophosmin status may influence the therapeutic decision in de novo acute myeloid leukemia with normal karyotype.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aplastic anemia in the elderly: a nationwide survey on behalf of the French Reference Center for Aplastic Anemia
Adrien Contejean,Matthieu Resche-Rigon,Jerome Tamburini,Marion Alcantara,Fabrice Jardin,Etienne Lengliné,Lionel Adès,Didier Bouscary,Ambroise Marçais,Delphine Lebon,Cecile Chabrot,Louis Terriou,Fiorenza Barraco,Anne Banos,Lucile Bussot,Jean-Yves Cahn,Pierre Hirsch,Natacha Maillard,Laurence Simon,Luc-Matthieu Fornecker,Gérard Socié,Régis Peffault de Latour,Flore Sicre de Fontbrune +22 more
TL;DR: Age, per se, is not a limiting factor to aplastic anemia treatment with anti-thymocyte globulin and cyclosporine-A; this regimen should be used as a first-line treatment in elderly patients if they have a good performance status and low comorbidity index score.
Journal ArticleDOI
Leukemic phase of follicular lymphomas: an atypical presentation.
Chadi Al-Nawakil,Olivier Kosmider,Marc-Henri Stern,Elodie Manié,Valérie Bardet,Véronique Leblond,Sophie Park,François Dreyfus,Didier Bouscary,Jerome Tamburini +9 more
TL;DR: The detection of a leukemic phase of FL at the onset of the disease is observed and should be studied as a potential prognosis marker in further studies.
