Journal ArticleDOI
CPAP, Weight Loss, or Both for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Julio A. Chirinos,Indira Gurubhagavatula,Karen L. Teff,Daniel J. Rader,Thomas A. Wadden,Raymond R. Townsend,Gary D. Foster,Greg Maislin,Hassam Saif,Preston Broderick,Jesse Chittams,Alexandra L. Hanlon,Allan I. Pack +12 more
TL;DR: In adults with obesity and obstructive sleep apnea, CPAP combined with a weight-loss intervention did not reduce CRP levels more than either intervention alone, and adherence to a regimen of weight loss and CPAP may result in incremental reductions in blood pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cerebrospinal Fluid Tau and β-Amyloid: How Well Do These Biomarkers Reflect Autopsy-Confirmed Dementia Diagnoses?
Christopher M. Clark,Sharon X. Xie,Jesse Chittams,Douglas C. Ewbank,Elaine R. Peskind,Douglas Galasko,John C. Morris,Daniel W. McKeel,Martin R. Farlow,Sharon L. Weitlauf,Joseph F. Quinn,Jeffrey Kaye,David S. Knopman,Hiroyuki Arai,Rachelle S. Doody,Charles DeCarli,Susan Leight,Virginia M.-Y. Lee,John Q. Trojanowski +18 more

Journal ArticleDOI
Weight lifting for women at risk for breast cancer-related lymphedema: a randomized trial.
Kathryn H. Schmitz,Rehana L. Ahmed,Andrea B. Troxel,Andrea L. Cheville,Andrea L. Cheville,Lorita Lewis-Grant,Rebecca R. Smith,Cathy J. Bryan,Catherine T. Williams-Smith,Jesse Chittams +9 more
TL;DR: In breast cancer survivors at risk for lymphedema, a program of slowly progressive weight lifting compared with no exercise did not result in increased incidence of lympherema.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Outcomes Related to Protein Delivery in a Critically Ill Population: A Multicenter, Multinational Observation Study.
TL;DR: Achieving at least 80% of prescribed protein intake may be important to survival and shorter TDA in ICU patients, and efforts to achieve prescribedprotein intake should be maximized.
