Journal ArticleDOI

atf4 promotes β-catenin expression and osteoblastic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.

TL;DR: It is shown that activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4) plays a critical role in promoting bone marrow MSC differentiation towards the osteoblast lineage and establishes a new role of ATF4 in controlling the β-catenin protein levels and MSC differentiate towards the bone marrow lineage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interacting Neuroendocrine and Innate and Acquired Immune Pathways Regulate Neutrophil Mobilization from Bone Marrow following Hemorrhagic Shock

TL;DR: Data indicate that HS/R, a global ischemia/reperfusion stimulus, regulates PMN mobilization through a series of interacting pathways that include neuroendocrine and innate and acquired immune systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Injury-induced MRP8/MRP14 stimulates IP-10/CXCL10 in monocytes/macrophages

TL;DR: A novel signaling mechanism that controls IP‐10 expression in monocytes/macrophages by MRP8/MRP14 is identified, which may play an important role in injury‐induced inflammation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-fibrotic effect of thymoquinone on hepatic stellate cells

TL;DR: The results showed that pretreatment of mice with TQ has protective effect against CCl4-induced liver injury compared to control group (untreated), which is consistent with previous studies, and suggests that T Q has a direct effect on HSCs, which may contribute to its overall antifibrotic effect.
