Direct Z-Scheme Heterojunction of Semicoherent FAPbBr3/Bi2WO6 Interface for Photoredox Reaction with Large Driving Force

TL;DR: A direct Z-scheme photocatalyst based on formamidinium lead bromide and bismuth tungstate (FAPbBr3/Bi2WO6) with strong redox ability, for artificial solar-to-chemical energy conversion is developed with desir-able band offsets and strong joint redox potential.
Journal ArticleDOI

Subsurface Defect Engineering in Single-Unit-Cell Bi2WO6 Monolayers Boosts Solar-Driven Photocatalytic Performance

TL;DR: In this article, defect engineering in photocatalysts represents a fundamental method toward tailoring their solar-to-chemical energy conversion performance, although determining the nature and impact of subsurface...
Journal ArticleDOI

Hot π‐electron Tunneling of Metal‐Insulator‐COF Nanostructures for Efficient Hydrogen Production

TL;DR: Compared to the Schottky-type counterparts, the COF-based MIS photosystems give a 32-fold-enhanced carrier efficiency, attributed to the combined enhancement of photoexcitation rate, charge separation and oxidation rate of holes accumulated in valence band of the TP-COF semiconductors.
Journal ArticleDOI

All-solid-state direct Z-scheme NiTiO3/Cd0.5Zn0.5S heterostructures for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution with visible light

TL;DR: In this article, the NiTiO3/Cd0.5S composites are revealed to effectively capture the optical spectrum in the visible region as well as enhance the transfer and separation of photogenerated charge carriers through the Z-schematic pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Plasmonic control of solar-driven CO2 conversion at the metal/ZnO interfaces

TL;DR: In this paper, surface plasmon resonance mediated CO2 photoreduction was demonstrated with metal (Au, Ag, and Pd)/3D porous ZnO nanosheets (NSs).
