Journal ArticleDOI
Molybdenum Oxide Thin Films Grown on Flexible ITO-Coated PET Substrates
Alice Marciel,M.P.F. Graça,Alexandre C. Bastos,Luiz Pereira,Jakka Suresh Kumar,Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Filipe Vaz,Marco Peres,Sérgio Ricardo Magalhães,Katharina Lorenz,Rui F. Silva +10 more
TL;DR: Electrochemical cyclic voltammograms showed noticeable color reversibility and reproducibility on the flexible substrates opening new framework possibilities for new electrochomic devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of composition, bonding characteristics and microstructure on the electrochemical and optical stability of AlOxNy thin films
Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Carlos Fonseca,Carlos Fonseca,N.P. Barradas,Eduardo Alves,Thierry Girardeau,F. Paumier,Filipe Vaz,Luis Marques +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, thin films of AlOxNy were deposited by magnetron sputtering in a wide composition range, and different structures and morphologies were observed, depending on the composition and bonding states, which opened the possibility to tailor the properties of this oxynitride system between those of pure Al and those of nitride and oxide films.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Optical properties of AlNxOy thin films deposited by DC magnetron sputtering
TL;DR: In this article, the optical properties of AlNxOy============thin films as a function of their composition (by varying both x and y coefficients), and the correspondent changes in======their morphology and structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure dependent resistivity and dielectric characteristics of tantalum oxynitride thin films produced by magnetron sputtering
Daniel Cristea,Aurel Crisan,Nicolae Cretu,Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,C. Lopes,Luís Miguel Cunha,Valentin Ion,Maria Dinescu,N.P. Barradas,Eduardo Alves,M. Apreutesei,M. Apreutesei,Daniel Munteanu +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the change of electrical properties of TaxNyOz thin films, produced by DC reactive magnetron sputtering, were analyzed and the results indicated that the variation of the deposition parameters induces variations of the composition, microstructure and morphology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of clustering on the surface plasmon band in thin films of metallic nanoparticles
Rui M. S. Pereira,Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Filipa Cavaco Reis Peres,Paulo A. S. Pereira,Georgi Smirnov,Filipe Vaz,Albano Cavaleiro,Mikhail Vasilevskiy +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the optical response of ensembles of polarizable metallic nanoparticles (NPs) that form submonolayer films of particles adsorbed on a dielectric substrate was investigated.
