Journal ArticleDOI

Somatic Forward (Nonrevertant) Mosaicism in Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa

TL;DR: The use of topical rapamycin was well tolerated and resulted in the resolution of subungual tumors and rapid normalization of the overlying nail distortion in patients with ungual tumors associated with TSC, suggesting that topical Rapamycin is a safe, well-tolerated, and potentially efficacious treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Concurrent hidradenitis suppurativa and Dowling–Degos disease taken down a ‘Notch’

TL;DR: Four more individuals with HS–DDD are described and a founder mutation in PSENEN, which encodes a component of the c-secretase complex, is identified, which provides new insights into this particular ‘clinical collision’ and potentially offer new opportunities for improving patient management in the future.
Journal ArticleDOI

Slac2-b Coordinates Extracellular Vesicle Secretion to Regulate Keratinocyte Adhesion and Migration

TL;DR: A role for Slac2-b in regulating local focal adhesion dynamics to support effective keratinocyte adhesion is supported and insight is provided into the underlying pathophysiology of inherited skin blistering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular basis and inheritance patterns of amyloidosis cutis dyschromica.

TL;DR: This work presents a new probabilistic analysis of the response of the immune system to corticosteroids to laser-spot removal, which has shown promise in predicting progeria and its role in disease progression.
