Scipion: A software framework toward integration, reproducibility and validation in 3D electron microscopy.
J.M. de la Rosa-Trevín,A. Quintana,L. del Cano,A. Zaldívar,I. Foche,J. Gutiérrez,Josué Gómez-Blanco,Jordi Burguet-Castell,J. Cuenca-Alba,Vahid Abrishami,Javier Vargas,Joaquín Otón,Grigory Sharov,José Luis Vilas,J. Navas,P. Conesa,Mohsen Kazemi,Roberto Marabini,Carlos Oscar S. Sorzano,Carlos Oscar S. Sorzano,José María Carazo +20 more
TL;DR: Scipion is a software framework for integrating several 3DEM software packages through a workflow-based approach that allows the execution of reusable, standardized, traceable and reproducible image-processing protocols.
Journal ArticleDOI
MonoRes: Automatic and Accurate Estimation of Local Resolution for Electron Microscopy Maps
José Luis Vilas,Josué Gómez-Blanco,Pablo Conesa,Roberto Melero,José Miguel de la Rosa-Trevín,Joaquín Otón,J. Cuenca,Roberto Marabini,José María Carazo,Javier Vargas,Carlos Oscar S. Sorzano,Carlos Oscar S. Sorzano +11 more
TL;DR: A fully automatic, accurate method for determining the local resolution of a 3D map (MonoRes), which is computationally more rapid than existing methods in the field and offers the option of local filtering of the original map based on the calculated local resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
PLLA-grafted cellulose nanocrystals: Role of the CNC content and grafting on the PLA bionanocomposite film properties.
Erlantz Lizundia,Elena Fortunati,Franco Dominici,José Luis Vilas,Luis Manuel León,Ilaria Armentano,Luigi Torre,Jose Maria Kenny +7 more
TL;DR: Thermal analysis showed CNC grafted with the higher ratio of lactide play a significant role as a nucleating agent, and the increased in Young's modulus suggests the CNC graft ratio and content contribute significantly to the good dispersion in the matrix, positively affecting the final bionanocomposite properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of phenolic resin pyrolysis conditions on carbon membrane performance for gas separation
TL;DR: In this article, the gas separation performance of phenolic resin-based carbon membranes can be adjusted by controlling the pyrolysis processing variables (heat treatment temperature, heating rate, soaking time and atmosphere).
Journal ArticleDOI
Crystallization, structural relaxation and thermal degradation in Poly(L-lactide)/cellulose nanocrystal renewable nanocomposites.
TL;DR: Results confirm that the presence of residual catalyst in CNC-g-PLLA plays a pivotal role in the thermal degradation behavior of nanocomposites.
