Survival after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in Europe - results of the EuReCa TWO study
Jan-Thorsten Gräsner,Jan Wnent,Johan Herlitz,Gavin D. Perkins,Rolf Lefering,Ingvild Tjelmeland,Rudolph W. Koster,Siobhán Masterson,Fernando Rossell-Ortiz,Holger Maurer,Bernd W. Böttiger,Maximilian Moertl,Pierre Mols,Hajriz Alihodžić,Irzal Hadžibegović,Marios Ioannides,Anatolij Truhlář,Mads Wissenberg,Ari Salo,Joséphine Escutnaire,Nikolaos I. Nikolaou,Endre Nagy,Bergthor Steinn Jonsson,Peter Wright,Federico Semeraro,Carlo Clarens,Steffie Beesems,Grzegorz Cebula,Vitor H Correia,Diana Cimpoesu,Violetta Raffay,Stefan Trenkler,Andrej Markota,Anneli Strömsöe,Roman Burkart,Scott J. Booth,Leo Bossaert +36 more
TL;DR: EuReCa TWO has confirmed large variation in OHCA incidence, characteristics and outcome, and highlighted the extent to which OHCA is a public health burden across Europe.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rationale, methodology, implementation, and first results of the French out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registry.
Hervé Hubert,Karim Tazarourte,Eric Wiel,Djamel Zitouni,Christian Vilhelm,Joséphine Escutnaire,Pascal Cassan,Pierre-Yves Gueugniaud,GR RéAC +8 more
TL;DR: The RéAC registry is a reliable observation tool to improve public health management of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and enables the development of targeted awareness programs for the unique purpose of increasing the survival rates of OHCA patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation duration and survival in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients
Frédéric Adnet,Mohamed N. Triba,Stephen W. Borron,Frédéric Lapostolle,Hervé Hubert,Pierre-Yves Gueugniaud,Joséphine Escutnaire,Aurelien Guenin,Astrid Hoogvorst,Carol Marbeuf-Gueye,Paul-Georges Reuter,Nicolas Javaud,Eric Vicaut,Sylvie Chevret +13 more
TL;DR: NF duration must be considered in determining CPR duration in OHCA patients, and the knowledge of (NF, LF) curves as function of age, initial rhythm, location of cardiac arrest or gender may aid in decision-making vis-à-vis the termination of CPR or employment of advanced techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epidemiology of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest: A French national incidence and mid-term survival rate study
Gérald Luc,Valentine Baert,Joséphine Escutnaire,Michaël Genin,Christian Vilhelm,Christophe Di Pompeo,Carlos El Khoury,Nicolas Segal,Eric Wiel,Frédéric Adnet,Karim Tazarourte,Pierre-Yves Gueugniaud,Hervé Hubert,on behalf GR-RéAC +13 more
TL;DR: The incidence and survival at 30 days of OHCA in France appeared similar to that reported in other European countries, and compared to other causes of deaths in France, OHCA is one of the most frequent causes, regardless of the initial pathology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thrombolysis During Resuscitation for Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Caused by Pulmonary Embolism Increases 30-Day Survival: Findings From the French National Cardiac Arrest Registry
François Javaudin,Jean-Baptiste Lascarrou,Quentin Le Bastard,Quentin Bourry,Chloé Latour,Hugo De Carvalho,Philippe Le Conte,Joséphine Escutnaire,Hervé Hubert,Emmanuel Montassier,Brice Leclère +10 more
TL;DR: In OHCA patients with confirmed PE and admitted with recuperation of spontaneous circulation in the hospital, there was significantly higher 30-day survival in those who received thrombolysis during CPR compared with patients who did not receive throm bolysis.
