Necking and radial cracking around perforations in thin sheets at normal incidence

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of multiple necks and cracks around perforations in ductile materials is investigated, and expressions for the number of plane-strain radial necks formed by conical penetrators (with or without starter holes in the flat target), and also by round-ended projectiles into flat targets having starter holes or, in plain targets with no starter holes, after fracture of the initial circumferential neck has detached a circular cap of material (discing).

A Brief Overview of Global Trends in MSC-Based Cell Therapy

TL;DR: In this paper , a comprehensive review of reported data of mesenchymal stem cells clinical trials conducted globally is presented, highlighting therapeutic effects of MSCs in several representative diseases, including neurological, musculoskeletal diseases and most recent Coronavirus infectious disease.

Recent origin of an XX/XY sex-determination system in the ancient plant lineage Ginkgo biloba

TL;DR: The present research assembled the first and largest to date chromosome-level genome of a non-model tree species using Hi-C data and resolved a long-term controversy, lay a foundation for future studies on the origin and evolution of plant sexes, and provide genetic markers for sex identification of ginkgo which will be valuable for both nurseries and field ecology.
