Journal ArticleDOI
Ternary Organic Solar Cells with Efficiency >16.5% Based on Two Compatible Nonfullerene Acceptors.
Jiali Song,Chao Li,Lei Zhu,Jing Guo,Jinqiu Xu,Xuning Zhang,Kangkang Weng,Kang-Ning Zhang,Jie Min,Xiaotao Hao,Yuan Zhang,Feng Liu,Yanming Sun +12 more
TL;DR: It is found that incorporation of 15% 3TP3T-4F into the PM6:Y6 blend results in facilitating exciton dissociation, increasing charge transport, and reducing trap-assisted recombination, which is responsible for the enlarged PCE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimized active layer morphology toward efficient and polymer batch insensitive organic solar cells.
Kangkang Weng,Linglong Ye,Linglong Ye,Lei Zhu,Jinqiu Xu,Jiajia Zhou,Xiang Feng,Guanghao Lu,Songting Tan,Feng Liu,Yanming Sun +10 more
TL;DR: This work combines the advantages of the fibril network donor and the state of the art Y6 acceptor in a two-step approach to deliver a high efficiency of 16% without batch-to-batch variation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unraveling the influence of non-fullerene acceptor molecular packing on photovoltaic performance of organic solar cells.
Linglong Ye,Linglong Ye,Kangkang Weng,Jinqiu Xu,Xiaoyan Du,Sreelakshmi Chandrabose,Kai Chen,Jiadong Zhou,Guangchao Han,Songting Tan,Zengqi Xie,Yuanping Yi,Ning Li,Ning Li,Feng Liu,Justin M. Hodgkiss,Christoph J. Brabec,Yanming Sun +17 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that side-chain engineering of non-fullerene acceptors could drive the fused-ring backbone assembly from a π–π stacking mode to an intermixed packing mode, and to a non-stacking mode to refine its solid-state properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferrocene as a highly volatile solid additive in non-fullerene organic solar cells with enhanced photovoltaic performance
Linglong Ye,Linglong Ye,Yunhao Cai,Chao Li,Lei Zhu,Jinqiu Xu,Kangkang Weng,Kang-Ning Zhang,Miaofei Huang,Min Zeng,Tengfei Li,Erjun Zhou,Songting Tan,Xiaotao Hao,Yuanping Yi,Feng Liu,Zhaohui Wang,Xiaowei Zhan,Yanming Sun +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a commercially available organic transition metal compound, ferrocene, was introduced as a highly volatile solid additive in OSCs, which can effectively increase the molecular crystallinity and thus lead to improved charge transport.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insertion of chlorine atoms onto π-bridges of conjugated polymer enables improved photovoltaic performance
Linglong Ye,Yuanpeng Xie,Kangkang Weng,Hwa Sook Ryu,Chao Li,Yunhao Cai,Huiting Fu,Donghui Wei,Han Young Woo,Songting Tan,Yanming Sun +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new polymer donor named PBT1-C-2Cl is synthesized by inserting the chlorine atoms onto π-bridges of the polymer PBT 1-C.
