Journal ArticleDOI
Non-fullerene acceptors with branched side chains and improved molecular packing to exceed 18% efficiency in organic solar cells
Chao Li,Jiadong Zhou,Jiali Song,Jinqiu Xu,Huotian Zhang,Xuning Zhang,Jing Guo,Lei Zhu,Donghui Wei,Guangchao Han,Jie Min,Yuan Zhang,Zengqi Xie,Yuanping Yi,He Yan,Feng Gao,Feng Liu,Yanming Sun +17 more
TL;DR: Li et al. as discussed by the authors showed that branched alkyl chains in non-fullerene acceptors allow favorable morphology in the active layer, enabling a certified device efficiency of 17.32% with a fill factor of 81.5% for single-junction organic solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-junction organic solar cells with over 19% efficiency enabled by a refined double-fibril network morphology
Lei Zhu,Ming Zhang,Jinqiu Xu,Chao Li,Jun Yan,Guanqing Zhou,Wenkai Zhong,Tianyu Hao,Jiali Song,Xiaonan Xue,Zichun Zhou,Rui Zeng,Haiming Zhu,Chun-Chao Chen,Roderick C. I. MacKenzie,Yecheng Zou,Jenny Nelson,Yongming Zhang,Yanming Sun,Feng Li +19 more
TL;DR: In this article , a double-fibril network based on a ternary donor-acceptor morphology with multi-length scales was constructed by combining ancillary conjugated polymer crystallizers and a non-fullerene acceptor filament assembly.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ternary Organic Solar Cells with Efficiency >16.5% Based on Two Compatible Nonfullerene Acceptors.
Jiali Song,Chao Li,Lei Zhu,Jing Guo,Jinqiu Xu,Xuning Zhang,Kangkang Weng,Kang-Ning Zhang,Jie Min,Xiaotao Hao,Yuan Zhang,Feng Liu,Yanming Sun +12 more
TL;DR: It is found that incorporation of 15% 3TP3T-4F into the PM6:Y6 blend results in facilitating exciton dissociation, increasing charge transport, and reducing trap-assisted recombination, which is responsible for the enlarged PCE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Asymmetric Nonfullerene Small Molecule Acceptors for Organic Solar Cells
Journal ArticleDOI
High-efficiency organic solar cells with low voltage loss induced by solvent additive strategy
Jiali Song,Lei Zhu,Chao Li,Jinqiu Xu,Hongbo Wu,Xuning Zhang,Yuan Zhang,Zheng Tang,Feng Liu,Yanming Sun +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of diiodomethane (DIM) instead of 1,8-diiodooctane was employed to reduce the energetic difference between the single excited state of L8-BO and the charge transfer state in PM6:L 8-BO blend, and thereby a reduced Vloss.
