Absence of Renormalization Group Pathologies Near the Critical Temperature. Two Examples

TL;DR: Olivieri and Picco as mentioned in this paper considered real-space renormalization group transformations for Ising-type systems which are formally defined by a probability kernel, and proved that the first iteration of the renormalized group transformation is defined in the following two examples: decimation with spacingb = 2 on the square lattice with β < 136βc and the Kadanoff transformation with parameterp on the trian gular lattice in a subset of the β,p plane that includes values of β greater than βc.

Periodic Ground States in the Neutral Falicov–Kimball Model in Two Dimensions

TL;DR: In this article, the Falicov-Kimball model is considered in two dimensions in the neutral case and the ground state is shown to be periodic if the strength of the attraction between the ions and electrons is large enough.
