Obesity and COVID-19 in New York City: A Retrospective Cohort Study.

TL;DR: The association between obesity and outcomes among a diverse cohort of 1687 persons hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 at 2 New York City hospitals found a J-shaped pattern for in-hospital mortality and the fully adjusted hazard ratio (HR) was lowest among persons with normal weight and progressively increased with higher degrees of obesity.
