Journal ArticleDOI

A coherent Ising machine for 2000-node optimization problems.

TL;DR: It is shown that an optical processing approach based on a network of coupled optical pulses in a ring fiber can be used to model and optimize large-scale Ising systems, and a coherent Ising machine outperformed simulated annealing in terms of accuracy and computation time for a 2000-node complete graph.
Journal ArticleDOI

Continuous-wave 6-dB-squeezed light with 2.5-THz-bandwidth from single-mode PPLN waveguide

TL;DR: In this paper, a single-pass optical parametric amplifier (OPA) based on a single spatial-mode periodically poled ZnO:LiNbO3 waveguide was used for continuous-wave (CW) squeezed light.
Journal ArticleDOI

Understanding dynamics of coherent Ising machines through simulation of large-scale 2D Ising models

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the dynamics during the ground state search of 2D Ising models with up to 1936 mutually coupled DOPOs and determined that calculation performance is limited by freeze-out effects and can be improved by controlling the DOPO dynamics, which allows to optimize performance of coherent Ising machines in various tasks.
