Journal ArticleDOI
Self-compression of millijoule 1.5 microm pulses.
Oliver D. Mücke,Skirmantas Alisauskas,Aart J. Verhoef,Audrius Pugžlys,Andrius Baltuška,Valerijus Smilgevičius,J. Pocius,L. Giniūnas,Romualdas Danielius,Nicolas Forget +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate a four-stage optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification system that delivers carrier-envelope phase-stable approximately 1.5 microm pulses with energies up to 12.5 mJ before recompression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-mJ, 200-fs, cw-pumped, cryogenically cooled, Yb,Na:CaF2 amplifier.
Audrius Pugžlys,Giedrius Andriukaitis,Andrius Baltuška,Lin Su,Jiancai Xu,Hui Li,R.X. Li,W. J. Lai,Poh Boon Phua,Andrius Marcinkevicius,Martin E. Fermann,L. Giniūnas,Romualdas Danielius,Skirmantas Alisauskas +13 more
TL;DR: Using a novel Yb-doped Yb3+,Na+:CaF2 crystal cooled in a closed loop to 130 K, a chirped pulse regenerative laser amplifier is demonstrated delivering the energy of up to 3 mJ at a repetition rate of 1 kHz and an average output power of 6 W at 20 kHz.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scalable Yb-MOPA-driven carrier-envelope phase-stable few-cycle parametric amplifier at 1.5 μm
Oliver D. Mücke,D. Sidorov,Péter Dombi,Audrius Pugzlys,Andrius Baltuška,Skirmantas Alisauskas,Smilgevicius,J. Pocius,L. Giniūnas,Romualdas Danielius,Nicolas Forget +10 more
TL;DR: This novel technology represents a highly attractive alternative to traditional Ti:sapphire front-ends for seeding multimillijoule-level optical parametric chirped-pulse amplifiers and might find numerous applications in time-resolved spectroscopy and micromachining.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endoscope with optical sectioning capability
TL;DR: The optical sectioning capability of a fiber-optic scanning microscope with a 9-cm-long gradient-index-rod lens probe has been demonstrated and the dimensions allow the device to be used as an endoscope.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carrier envelope phase stabilization of a Yb:KGW laser amplifier
T. Balčiūnas,Oliver D. Mücke,Paulius Mišeikis,Giedrius Andriukaitis,Audrius Pugžlys,L. Giniūnas,Romas Danielius,Ronald Holzwarth,Andrius Baltuška +8 more
TL;DR: The bandwidth of the feedback loop was extended by a factor of 5 using a specially designed high-pass filter, which resulted in a dramatic decrease of CEP jitter below 0.45 rad after the amplifier.
