Determination of muon attenuation lengths in depth profiles from in situ produced cosmogenic nuclides
Régis Braucher,Didier Bourlès,Silke Merchel,J.R. Vidal Romani,D. Fernadez-Mosquera,Kurt Marti,L. Leanni,F. Chauvet,Maurice Arnold,Georges Aumaître,Karim Keddadouche +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new approach based on the measurement of the evolution of cosmogenic nuclide concentrations along depth profiles to determine the muon attenuation lengths is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
A major advance of tropical Andean glaciers during the Antarctic cold reversal
Vincent Jomelli,Vincent Favier,Mathias Vuille,Régis Braucher,Léo Martin,Pierre-Henri Blard,Christopher M. Colose,Daniel Brunstein,Feng He,Myriam Khodri,Didier Bourlès,L. Leanni,Vincent Rinterknecht,Delphine Grancher,Bernard Francou,Jorge Luis Ceballos,H. Fonseca,Zhengyu Liu,Bette L. Otto-Bliesner +18 more
TL;DR: A new 10Be moraine chronology in Colombia is presented showing that glaciers in the northern tropical Andes expanded to a larger extent during the Antarcticcold reversal than during the Younger Dryas, and argues for a common glacier response to cold conditions in the Antarctic cold reversal exceeding that of the Younger dryas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unstable ice stream in Greenland during the Younger Dryas cold event
Vincent Rinterknecht,Vincent Jomelli,Daniel Brunstein,Vincent Favier,Vincent Favier,Valérie Masson-Delmotte,Didier Bourlès,L. Leanni,Romain Schläppy +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the Jakobshavn Isbrae (JI) ice stream collapsed during the middle of the Younger Dryas (YD) cold interval, and the authors suggest that this collapse was due to the incursion of warm subsurface water under the ice shelf fronting the JI ice stream, as well as increased surface-air temperature and sea surface temperature seasonality starting at the beginning of the YD cold interval.
Journal ArticleDOI
The granite tors of Dartmoor, Southwest England: rapid and recent emergence revealed by Late Pleistocene cosmogenic apparent exposure ages
Yanni Gunnell,David Jarman,Régis Braucher,Marc Calvet,Magali Delmas,L. Leanni,Didier Bourlès,Maurice Arnold,Georges Aumaître,Karim Keddaouche +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used surface exposure dates from 28 tors across the whole upland of Dartmoor to explore theories of the evolution of the tor population during the Quaternary.
Journal ArticleDOI
Implications of drainage rearrangement for passive margin escarpment evolution in southern Brazil
Michael Vinicius de Sordi,André Augusto Rodrigues Salgado,Lionel Siame,Didier Bourlès,Julio Cesar Paisani,L. Leanni,Régis Braucher,Edivando Vitor do Couto +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented results from radar elevation and aerial imagery data coupled with in-situ-produced 10Be concentrations measured in sand-sized river-born sediments from the Serra Geral escarpment, southern Brazil.
