Journal ArticleDOI
Case report and literature review: Glomerular and neurologic thrombotic microangiopathy as a primary manifestation of multicentric castleman disease.
Adrien Flahault,Marguerite Vignon,Marion Rabant,Aurélie Hummel,Laure-Hélène Noël,Danielle Canioni,Bertrand Knebelmann,Felipe Suarez,Khalil El Karoui +8 more
TL;DR: Although rare, this diagnosis is worth knowing, as specific treatment has to be started as soon as possible and proved to be efficient in this case as well as in other reports in the literature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acquired and genetic complement abnormalities play a critical role in dense deposit disease and other C3 glomerulopathies
Aude Servais,Aude Servais,Laure-Hélène Noël,Lubka T. Roumenina,Moglie Le Quintrec,Stéphanie Ngo,Marie-Agnès Dragon-Durey,Marie-Agnès Dragon-Durey,Marie-Alice Macher,Julien Zuber,Julien Zuber,Alexandre Karras,François Provôt,Bruno Moulin,Jean-Pierre Grünfeld,Jean-Pierre Grünfeld,Patrick Niaudet,Patrick Niaudet,Philippe Lesavre,Philippe Lesavre,Véronique Frémeaux-Bacchi +20 more
TL;DR: A critical role of fluid-phase alternative pathway dysregulation in the pathogenesis of C3 glomerulopathies as well as in immune complex-mediated glomerular diseases is suggested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical spectrum associated with hepatocyte nuclear factor-1β mutations
Christine Bellanné-Chantelot,Dominique Chauveau,Jean-François Gautier,Danièle Dubois-Laforgue,Séverine Clauin,Sandrine Beaufils,Jean-Marie Wilhelm,Christian Boitard,Laure-Hélène Noël,Gilberto Velho,José Timsit +10 more
TL;DR: Detailed phenotypic analysis underlines the systemic spectrum of the disease and its wide variability, leading to different modes of presentation, and confirms that MODY5 may occur because of de novo mutation in HNF-1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polyarteritis nodosa related to hepatitis B virus. A prospective study with long-term observation of 41 patients.
Loïc Guillevin,François Lhote,Pascal Cohen,Françoise Sauvaget,Bernard Jarrousse,Olivier Lortholary,Laure-Hélène Noël,C Trepo +7 more
TL;DR: This protocol is proposed as the first treatment for HBV-related PAN, because it surpasses the conventional treatment with corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide, which facilitates viral replication and the development of chronic HBV infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
C3 glomerulopathy: a new classification
Fadi Fakhouri,Véronique Frémeaux-Bacchi,Laure-Hélène Noël,H. Terence Cook,Matthew C. Pickering +4 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that glomerular pathologies that are characterized by the isolated deposition of C3 could usefully be classified by the term C3 glomerulopathy, and this classification would alert the pathologist and nephrologist to the importance of screening for acquired and genetic abnormalities in complement regulation.
