TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a dietary score that correlates with gut sulfur-metabolizing bacteria and examined its association with colorectal cancer risk, finding that greater adherence to the sulfur microbial diet was associated with an increased risk of colon cancer.

TL;DR: IBS does not seem to confer an increased risk of death and the underlying mucosal appearance on biopsy had only a marginal impact on mortality, and patients with IBS not undergoing a colorectal biopsy were at no increased riskof death.
