Antimicrobial Susceptibility and Characterization of Resistance Mechanisms of Corynebacterium urealyticum Clinical Isolates

TL;DR: Thirty-nine PFGE patterns were identified among the 40 C. urealyticum isolates, indicating that they were not clonally related, but producing sporadic infections, raising the need of maintaining surveillance strategies among this multidrug resistant pathogen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Subclinical diagnosis of Caseous lymphadenitis based on Elisa in Sheep from Brazil

TL;DR: This study concluded that C. pseudotuberculosis infection could be widely disseminated in sheep flocks in Northwestern region of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil and only one screening test is not enough and the association with indirect ELISA test and culture could better indicate the real problem of CLA in Sheep flocks.
Journal ArticleDOI

En route to personalized medicine: uncovering distinct IgE reactivity pattern to house dust mite components in Brazilian and Austrian allergic patients

TL;DR: Molecular sensitization profile analyses of allergic individuals to the house dust mites Blomia tropicalis and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus from Brazil and Austria showed that in Brazil the inclusion of the molecular components Blo t 5 and/or Bla t 21 major allergens and BloT 2 can increase the sensitivity and specificity of the assay for the diagnosis of allergy to B. tropicalis.
