TL;DR: In this article, a large acceptance spectrometer based on the EUROBALL composite CLOVER detectors was installed at the LNL ALPI linac to study the nuclear structure towards moderately neutron-rich nuclei by means of quasi-elastic and deep inelastic reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coulomb energy differences in T = 1 mirror rotational bands in 50Fe and 50Cr
S. M. Lenzi,N. Marginean,D. R. Napoli,C. A. Ur,Andrés P. Zuker,G. de Angelis,Alejandro Algora,M. Axiotis,D. Bazzacco,N. Belcari,M. A. Bentley,P. G. Bizzeti,A. M. Bizzeti-Sona,F. Spolaore,T. Steinhardt,O. Thelen,Dimitar Tonev,Andrea Vitturi,W. von Oertzen,Matthias Weiszflog +48 more
TL;DR: In this article, a quantitative agreement with experiment has been achieved by exact shell model calculations, incorporating the differences in radii along the yrast bands, and properly renormalizing the Coulomb matrix elements in the pf model space.
Journal ArticleDOI
Emission of unbound 8Be and 12C* (0+2) clusters in compound nucleus reactions
Tz. Kokalova,W. von Oertzen,S. Torilov,S. Thummerer,Matko Milin,Aurora Tumino,G. de Angelis,E. Farnea,A. Gadea,D. R. Napoli,T. Kröll,N. Marginean,T. Martinez,M. Axiotis,S. M. Lenzi,C. A. Ur,P. Papka,M. Rousseau +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the angular-momentum-to-energy balance of the cluster emission is compared with that of multiple-α emission, and the properties of the energy spectra of the binary process and the population of the residual nuclei by cluster emission are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effective charges in the fp shell.
R. du Rietz,Jörgen Ekman,Dirk Rudolph,Claes Fahlander,A. Dewald,O. Möller,B. Saha,M. Axiotis,M. A. Bentley,C. Chandler,G. de Angelis,F. Della Vedova,A. Gadea,G Hammond,S. M. Lenzi,N. Marginean,D. R. Napoli,M. Nespolo,C. Rusu,D. Tonev +19 more
TL;DR: Following the heavy-ion fusion-evaporation reaction 32S+24Mg at 95 MeV beam energy the lifetimes of analogue states in the T(z)=+/-1/2 A=51 mirror nuclei 51Fe and 51Mn have been measured using the Cologne plunger device coupled to the GASP gamma-ray spectrometer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unusual isospin-breaking and isospin-mixing effects in the A=35 mirror nuclei.
Jörgen Ekman,Dirk Rudolph,Claes Fahlander,Andrés P. Zuker,M. A. Bentley,S. M. Lenzi,Corina Andreoiu,M. Axiotis,G. de Angelis,E. Farnea,A. Gadea,Th. Kröll,N. Marginean,T. Martinez,Milena Mineva,C. Rossi-Alvarez,C. A. Ur +16 more
TL;DR: A comparison with the mirror nucleus 35Cl shows a surprisingly large energy difference for the 13/2(-) states, in which the hitherto overlooked electromagnetic spin-orbit term is shown to play a major role.
