Greenhill,Keith Horne,Iain A. Steele,Yiannis Tsapras,Brian Chaboyer,A. Crocker,Stephan Frank,Bruce Macintosh +70 more
TL;DR: Two planets with masses that could not have been detected with other techniques are identified; their discovery from only six confirmed microlensing planet detections suggests that solar system analogs may be common.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microlens OGLE-2005-BLG-169 Implies That Cool Neptune-like Planets Are Common
Andrew Gould,Andrzej Udalski,Deokkeun An,David P. Bennett,A. Y. Zhou,Subo Dong,Nicholas J. Rattenbury,B. S. Gaudi,P. C. M. Yock,Ian A. Bond,G. W. Christie,Keith Horne,Joseph M. Anderson,Krzysztof Z. Ulaczyk,Bohdan Paczynski,D. M. Bramich,Colin Snodgrass,Iain A. Steele,Martin Burgdorf,M. F. Bode,C. S. Botzler,Shude Mao,S. C. Swaving +35 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors detect a Neptune mass ratio (q 8? 10-5) planetary companion to the lens star in the extremely high magnification (A ~ 800) microlensing event OGLE-2005-BLG-169.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantifying Quasar Variability As Part of a General Approach To Classifying Continuously Varying Sources
Szymon Kozłowski,Christopher S. Kochanek,Andrzej Udalski,Lukasz Wyrzykowski,Lukasz Wyrzykowski,Igor Soszyński,Michał K. Szymański,M. Kubiak,Grzegorz Pietrzyński,Grzegorz Pietrzyński,O. Szewczyk,O. Szewczyk,Krzysztof Ulaczyk,Radosław Poleski +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a fast method for modeling and classifying non-periodic continuously varying sources (quasars, aperiodic stellar variability) is presented. But this method is limited to the case of the OGLE-II survey of the LMC.
Journal ArticleDOI
OGLE 2003-BLG-235/MOA 2003-BLG-53: A planetary microlensing event
Ian A. Bond,Andrzej Udalski,M. Jaroszynski,Nicholas J. Rattenbury,Bohdan Paczynski,Igor Soszyński,L. Wyrzykowski,Michał K. Szymański,M. Kubiak,O. Szewczyk,K. Okajima,T. K. Sako,Tomohiko Sekiguchi,Denis J. Sullivan,Takahiro Sumi,P. J. Tristram,Toshifumi Yanagisawa,Philip Yock +31 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a short duration (~7 days) low amplitude deviation in the light curve due to a single lens profile was observed in both the MOA and OGLE survey observations.
