Tuning the Reactivity of Dirhodium(II) Complexes with Axial N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Ligands: The Arylation of Aldehydes

TL;DR: DFT calculations reveal subtle stereoelectronic effects resulting from the NHC coordination to the dirhodium(II) complex and suggest that complexes with one axial NHC ligand are the catalytically active species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vanadium(IV and V) Complexes of Schiff Bases and Reduced Schiff Bases Derived from the Reaction of Aromatic o-Hydroxyaldehydes and Diamines: Synthesis, Characterisation and Solution Studies

TL;DR: Several sal 2 en-type reduced Schiff bases have been prepared from the reaction of 2 equiv. of salicylaldehyde derivatives with ethylenediamine followed by reduction with NaBH 4 and subsequently characterised by X-ray diffraction as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanosynthesis of the metallodrug bismuth subsalicylate from Bi2O3 and structure of bismuth salicylate without auxiliary organic ligands.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated how ionand liquid-assisted grinding (ILAG), previously utilized for the mechanosynthesis of large-pore MOFs and zeolitic imidazolate frameworks 6] based on zinc, can be extended to the pharmaceutical chemistry of bismuth oxide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Condensed phase behaviour of ionic liquid–benzene mixtures: congruent melting of a [emim][NTf2]·C6H6 inclusion crystal

TL;DR: C6H6, with a congruent melting temperature: this type of behaviour is reported here for the first time, together with the X-ray structure of the inclusion compound lays emphasis upon the interactions that are responsible for the existence of liquid clathrates at higher benzene concentrations.
