Coupling and Entangling of Quantum States in Quantum Dot Molecules
Manfred Bayer,Pawel Hawrylak,Karin Hinzer,Karin Hinzer,Simon Fafard,Marek Korkusinski,Marek Korkusinski,Z. R. Wasilewski,O. Stern,Alfred Forchel +9 more
TL;DR: The electron-hole complex is shown to be equivalent to entangled states of two interacting spins in a pair of vertically aligned, self-assembled quantum dots.
Journal ArticleDOI
Continuous-wave lasing in colloidal quantum dot solids enabled by facet-selective epitaxy
Fengjia Fan,Oleksandr Voznyy,Randy P. Sabatini,Kristopher T. Bicanic,Michael M. Adachi,Michael M. Adachi,James R. McBride,Kemar R. Reid,Young-Shin Park,Young-Shin Park,Xiyan Li,Ankit Jain,Rafael Quintero-Bermudez,Mayuran Saravanapavanantham,Min Liu,Marek Korkusinski,Pawel Hawrylak,Victor I. Klimov,Sandra J. Rosenthal,Sjoerd Hoogland,Edward H. Sargent +20 more
TL;DR: A way to decrease the band-edge degeneracy and single-dot photoluminescence linewidth in CQDs by means of uniform biaxial strain is demonstrated and continuous-wave lasing from CQD solids is demonstrated, expanding the library of solution-processed materials that may be capable of continuous- wave lasing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atomistic Simulation of Realistically Sized Nanodevices Using NEMO 3-D—Part I: Models and Benchmarks
Gerhard Klimeck,Shaikh Ahmed,H. Bae,Neerav Kharche,Steven Clark,Benjamin P Haley,Sunhee Lee,Maxim Naumov,Hoon Ryu,Faisal Saied,Marta Prada,Marek Korkusinski,Timothy B. Boykin,Rajib Rahman +13 more
TL;DR: The 3-D nanoelectronic MOdeling (NEMO 3D) tool has been developed to address the needs of device physics and material science at the atomic scale of novel nanostructured semiconductors as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stability diagram of a few-electron triple dot.
Louis Gaudreau,Sergei Studenikin,A. S. Sachrajda,P. Zawadzki,A. Kam,Jean Lapointe,Marek Korkusinski,Pawel Hawrylak +7 more
TL;DR: This Letter map out experimentally the stability diagram of the few-electron triple dot system, the electron configuration map as a function of the external tuning parameters, and reveal experimentally for the first time the existence of quadruple points, a signature of the three dots being in resonance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical detection of the Aharonov-Bohm effect on a charged particle in a nanoscale quantum ring.
TL;DR: The current produced by a charged particle moving in a nanosize semiconductor quantum ring subject to a perpendicular magnetic field is studied spectroscopically to observe Aharonov-Bohm oscillations.
