The transcription factor Snail controls epithelial–mesenchymal transitions by repressing E-cadherin expression
Amparo Cano,Mirna Perez-Moreno,Isabel Rodrigo,Annamaria Locascio,Maria Blanco,Marta G. del Barrio,Francisco Portillo,M. Angela Nieto +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that mouse Snail is a strong repressor of transcription of the E-cadherin gene, opening up new avenues for the design of specific anti-invasive drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlation of Snail expression with histological grade and lymph node status in breast carcinomas.
Maria Blanco,Gema Moreno-Bueno,David Sarrió,Annamaria Locascio,Amparo Cano,José Palacios,M. Angela Nieto +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that Snail expression inversely correlates with the grade of differentiation of the tumours and that it is expressed in all the infiltrating ductal carcinomas presenting lymph node metastases that were analysed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The P-wave velocity structure of the mantle below the Iberian Peninsula: evidence for subducted lithosphere below southern Spain
Maria Blanco,Wim Spakman +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Evc is a positive mediator of Ihh-regulated bone growth that localises at the base of chondrocyte cilia.
Victor L. Ruiz-Perez,Victor L. Ruiz-Perez,Helen J. Blair,M. Elena Rodriguez-Andres,Maria Blanco,Amy J. Wilson,Yu-Ning Liu,Colin G. Miles,Heiko Peters,Judith A. Goodship +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that Evc is an intracellular component of the hedgehog signal transduction pathway that is required for normal transcriptional activation of Ihh target genes.
Journal ArticleDOI
