Differential Electrochemical Mass Spectrometry Study of the Interface of xLi2MnO3·(1–x)LiMO2 (M = Ni, Co, and Mn) Material as a Positive Electrode in Li-Ion Batteries

TL;DR: In this paper, differential electrochemical mass spectrometry was employed to follow volatile species developed during cycling. And the presence of O2 was confirmed to enhance the reactivity of Li2MnO3 domains.
Journal ArticleDOI

A greener route to photoelectrochemically active PbS nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, a cheap and more environmentally friendly method for the synthesis of high quality PbS nanoparticles in olive oil at 60 °C has been developed, where carefully controlling the conditions of reactions leads to nanoparticles with well-defined sizes, and band gaps between 1.72 and 0.88 eV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Understanding the Interaction of the Carbonates and Binder in Na-Ion Batteries: A Combined Bulk and Surface Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) in Na-ion batteries and its influence on the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fluorinated ether electrolyte with controlled solvation structure for high voltage lithium metal batteries

TL;DR: In this paper , a new solvent, 2,2-dimethoxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-dioxolane (DTDL), was proposed to combine cyclic fluorinated ether with a linear ether segment to simultaneously achieve high voltage stability and tune lithium ion solvation ability and structure.
