Rishi R. Goel,Mark M. Painter,Kendall A. Lundgreen,Sokratis A. Apostolidis,Amy E. Baxter,Josephine R. Giles,Divij Mathew,Ajinkya Pattekar,Arnold Reynaldi,David S. Khoury,Sigrid Gouma,Philip Hicks,Sarah Dysinger,Amanda Hicks,H. Sharma,Sarah Herring,Scott Korte,Wumesh Kc,Derek A. Oldridge,Rachel Erickson,Madison E. Weirick,Christopher M McAllister,M. Hensley,Paul Bates,Allison R. Greenplate,E. John Wherry +37 more
TL;DR: Greaney et al. as mentioned in this paper examined antibody and memory B cell responses longitudinally for ∼9-10 months after primary 2-dose SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination and 3 months after a 3rd dose.
Journal ArticleDOI
Germinal center responses to SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines in healthy and immunocompromised individuals
Katlyn Lederer,Emily Bettini,Kalpana Parvathaneni,Mark M. Painter,Divyansh Agarwal,Kendall A. Lundgreen,Madison E. Weirick,Kavitha Muralidharan,Diana Castaño,Rishi R. Goel,Xiaoming Xu,E. M. John Wherry,Ali Naji,Vijay Bhoj,Michela Locci +31 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines in lymph nodes of healthy individuals and kidney transplant recipients (KTXs) were analyzed through a fine-needle aspiration-based approach.

TL;DR: Examination of antibody and memory B cell responses in a cohort of individuals sampled longitudinally for ∼9-10 months after the primary 2-dose mRNA vaccine series suggests that high levels of circulating antibodies may limit reactivation of immunological memory and constrain further antibody boosting by mRNA vaccines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Class 1-Selective Histone Deacetylase (HDAC) Inhibitors Enhance HIV Latency Reversal while Preserving the Activity of HDAC Isoforms Necessary for Maximal HIV Gene Expression.
Thomas D. Zaikos,Mark M. Painter,Nadia T. Sebastian Kettinger,Valeri H. Terry,Kathleen L. Collins +4 more
TL;DR: This work demonstrates that the use of targeted approaches to induce maximum latency reversal affords the greatest likelihood of reservoir elimination, and provides evidence that broadly acting HDIs are limited by inhibitory effects on non-class 1 HDACs that support the activity of proviral factors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shared and distinct biological circuits in effector, memory and exhausted CD8+ T cells revealed by temporal single-cell transcriptomics and epigenetics
Josephine R. Giles,Shin Foong Ngiow,Sasikanth Manne,Amy E. Baxter,Omar Khan,Ping Wang,Ryan P. Staupe,Mohamed S. Abdel-Hakeem,Hua Huang,Divij Mathew,Mark M. Painter,Jennifer E. Wu,Yinghui Jane Huang,Rishi R. Goel,Patrick Yan,Giorgos C. Karakousis,Xiaowei Xu,Tara C. Mitchell,Alexander C. Huang,E. John Wherry +19 more
TL;DR: New subsets are uncovered, including a subpopulation of Tex cells expressing natural killer cell-associated genes that is dependent on the transcription factor Zeb2, as well as multiple distinct TCF-1+ stem/progenitor-like subsets in acute and chronic infection.
