Journal ArticleDOI

Peritumoral epilepsy: Relating form and function for surgical success

TL;DR: This review discusses key candidates that may be implicated in peritumoral epileptogenesis, the current role of antiepileptic medications in this type of epilepsy and examines the changes in surgical practice which may lead to improved seizure rates after tumor surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dendrotoxin sensitive potassium channels modulate GABA but not glutamate release in the rat entorhinal cortex in vitro.

TL;DR: It is concluded that K-channels containing the Kv1.2 and/or 1.6 subunits modulate the release of GABA, but not glutamate in the entorhinal cortex, because the modulation of GABA release by phenytoin is unlikely to be due to an effect on these channels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cannabis and epilepsy.

TL;DR: This podcast addresses what an adult neurologist needs to know now, ahead of the likely licensing of Epidiolex in the UK in 2019, and the difference between artisanal cannabidiol products available legally on the high street and the cannabids that have strong trial evidence.
