Journal ArticleDOI

Mitochondria and cortical gamma oscillations: food for thought?

TL;DR: Increasingly, modalities such as functional MRI and positron emission tomography are finding their place in clinical neurological practice and provide useful information concerning both physiological and pathophysiological modes of operation in particular regions of the brain.
Journal ArticleDOI

MicroRNA inhibition using antimiRs in acute human brain tissue sections

TL;DR: In this article , the authors developed an antimiR testing platform in human brain tissue sections, which was used for pre-clinical testing of antimiRs targeting microRNA-134 (antimiR-134).

Closed-loop optogenetic control of normal and pathological network dynamics

TL;DR: Closed-loop optogenetic stimulation with excitatory opsins (CLOSe) affords precise manipulation of neural dynamics, both in vitro, in brain slices from transgenic mice, and in vivo, with anesthetised monkeys, paving the way for translation of closed- loop optogenetics towards therapeutic applications in humans.
