Marta I. Litter,Marta I. Litter,Ana María Ingallinella,Valentina Olmos,Marianela Savio,Gonzalo Difeo,Lia Botto,Elsa Monica Farfan Torres,Sergio Taylor,Sofía Frangie,Jorge Herkovits,Isidoro B. Schalamuk,María José González,Eliana Berardozzi,Fernando Sebastián García Einschlag,Prosun Bhattacharya,Arslan Ahmad +16 more
TL;DR: An overview about the presence of arsenic (As) in groundwaters of Argentina, made by a transdisciplinary group of experts is presented, and it can be estimated that the population at risk in Argentina reaches around four million people.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sensitization of tio2 with phthalocyanines. part 1 : photo-oxidations using hydroxoaluminium tricarboxymonoamidephthalocyanine adsorbed on tio2
TL;DR: In this paper, the photocatalytic activity of a modified semiconductor for transformation of different substrates under visible irradiation in the phthalocyanine Q-band has been tested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Small-scale and household methods to remove arsenic from water for drinking purposes in Latin America.
Marta I. Litter,María Teresa Alarcón-Herrera,María J. Arenas,María Aurora Armienta,Marta Avilés,Roberto E. Cáceres,H. N. Cipriani,Lorena Cornejo,Luiz Eduardo Dias,Alicia Fernández Cirelli,Elsa M. Farfán,Sofía Garrido,Liliana Lorenzo,María E. Morgada,Mario A. Olmos-Márquez,Alejo Pérez-Carrera +15 more
TL;DR: Small-scale and household low-cost technologies to provide water free of arsenic for drinking purposes, suitable for isolated rural and periurban areas not connected to water networks in Latin America are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Last advances on TiO2-photocatalytic removal of chromium, uranium and arsenic
Marta I. Litter,Marta I. Litter +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the last advances on TiO 2 -photocatalytic removal of toxic metal and metalloid ionic species from water, particularly chromium, uranium and arsenic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modeling of fluorescence quantum yields of supported dyes Aluminium carboxyphthalocyanine on cellulose
TL;DR: In this article, a model based on the Kubelka-Munk theory of diffuse reflectance is developed to obtain corrected fluorescence spectra and the application of this model to the case under study yields a true fluorescence quantum yield ϕ = 0.46 ± 0.02 in the whole range of concentrations, which is slightly higher than the value found for the same dye in dimethyl sulfoxide solution.
