Association of adverse perinatal outcomes of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy with biochemical markers: results of aggregate and individual patient data meta-analyses.
Caroline Ovadia,Paul T. Seed,Alexandros Sklavounos,Victoria Geenes,Chiara Di Ilio,Jenny Chambers,Jenny Chambers,Katherine Kohari,Yannick Bacq,Nuray Bozkurt,Romana Brun-Furrer,Laura N. Bull,Maria C. Tribe,Valeria Tripodi,Cigdem Yayla Abide,Ilter Yenidede,Jim G Thornton,Lucy C Chappell,Catherine Williamson +40 more
TL;DR: The risk of stillbirth is increased in women with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy and singleton pregnancies when serum bile acids concentrations are of 100 μmol/L or more and the association with the concentration of specific biochemical markers is unclear.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cervical pessaries for prevention of preterm birth in women with a multiple pregnancy (ProTWIN): A multicentre, open-label randomised controlled trial
Sophie Liem,Ewoud Schuit,Maud A. Hegeman,Joke M.J. Bais,Karin de Boer,Kitty W.M. Bloemenkamp,Jozien T. J. Brons,Hans Duvekot,Bas Nij Bijvank,Maureen T.M. Pernet,Martina Porath,Liesbeth Scheepers,Marko Sikkema,Jan Sporken,Harry Visser,Wim van Wijngaarden,Mallory Woiski,Mariëlle G. van Pampus,Ben W.J. Mol,Dick J. Bekedam +24 more
TL;DR: In unselected women with a multiple pregnancy, prophylactic use of a cervical pessary does not reduce poor perinatal outcome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amiodarone Therapy for Drug-Refractory Fetal Tachycardia
Janette F. Strasburger,Bettina F. Cuneo,Maaike M. Michon,Nina L. Gotteiner,Barbara J. Deal,Scott Mcgregor,Martijn A. Oudijk,Erik J. Meijboom,Leonard Feinkind,Michael J. Hussey,Barbara V. Parilla +10 more
TL;DR: Orally administered amiodarone is safe and effective treatment for drug-refractory fetal tachycardia, specifically reentrant supraventricular tachy Cardia, junctional ectopic, or ventricular tachCardia, even when accompanied by hydrops fetalis or Ventricular dysfunction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Foley catheter versus vaginal prostaglandin E2 gel for induction of labour at term (PROBAAT trial): an open-label, randomised controlled trial
Marta Jozwiak,Katrien Oude Rengerink,Marjan Benthem,Erik van Beek,Marja G.K. Dijksterhuis,Irene M. de Graaf,Marloes E. van Huizen,Martijn A. Oudijk,D.N. Papatsonis,Denise A. M. Bloemenkamp +18 more
TL;DR: In women with an unfavourable cervix at term, induction of labour with a Foley catheter is similar to induction with prostaglandin E2 gel, with fewer maternal and neonatal side-effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy: maternal and fetal outcomes associated with elevated bile acid levels
Laura Brouwers,Maria P.H. Koster,Godelieve C.M.L. Page-Christiaens,Hans Kemperman,Janine Boon,Inge M. Evers,Auke Bogte,Martijn A. Oudijk +7 more
TL;DR: Severe ICP is associated with adverse pregnancy outcome and levels of BA correlate between mother and fetus, and maternal BA levels at diagnosis and at delivery were correlated positively with umbilical cord blood BA levels.
