Journal ArticleDOI
Pax5 Negatively Regulates Osteoclastogenesis through Downregulation of Blimp1.
TL;DR: In this article, the negative role of Pax5 in osteoclastogenesis was identified in a transgenic mouse expressing Pax5 transgene under the control of the tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) promoter.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immunohistochemical Analysis of the Distribution of RANKL-Expressing Cells and the Expression of Osteoclast-Related Markers in Giant Cell Tumor of Bone
Isao Shibuya,Isao Shibuya,Masamichi Takami,Masashi Kawamoto,Akiko Karakawa,Shigeru Nakamura,Ryutaro Kamijo +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of anti-RANKL antibodies administered to pregnant mice on bone and tooth development in neonates.
Maho Yamaguchi,Masamichi Takami,Yuki Azetsu,Akiko Karakawa,Masahiro Chatani,Takahiro Funatsu,Nobuhiro Sakai +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , the anti-bone resorptive agent denosumab, which comprises anti-receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand (anti-RANKL) monoclonal antibodies, administered during pregnancy affected neonatal development.
Book ChapterDOI
Increase of Intracellular Ca 2+ Level Induces Osteoclast- Like Cell Formation in Coculture of Mouse Bone Marrow Cells and Osteoblastic Cells
TL;DR: Osteoclast-like cells induced by calcium ionophores appeared as multinucleated giant cells with tartrate resistant acid phosphatase activity, and formed resorption lacunae on dentine slices suggests that high Ca2+ level may be a part of signaling pathways that induce differentiation of osteoclast progenitor to osteocasts.
