Mübeccel Akdis,Alar Aab,Can Altunbulakli,Kursat A Azkur,Rita Costa,Reto Crameri,Su Duan,Thomas Eiwegger,Andrzej Eljaszewicz,Ruth Ferstl,Remo Frei,Mattia Garbani,Anna Głobińska,Lena Hess,Carly Huitema,Terufumi Kubo,Zsolt István Komlósi,Patricia Konieczna,Nóra Kovács,Umut Can Kucuksezer,Norbert Meyer,Hideaki Morita,Judith Olzhausen,Liam O'Mahony,Marija Pezer,Moira Prati,Ana Rebane,Claudio Rhyner,Arturo Rinaldi,Milena Sokolowska,Barbara Stanic,Kazunari Sugita,Angela Treis,Willem van de Veen,Kerstin Wanke,Marcin Wawrzyniak,Paulina Wawrzyniak,Oliver F. Wirz,Josefina Zakzuk,Cezmi A. Akdis +39 more
TL;DR: Recent developments on IL-1 to IL-38, TNF-α, TGF-β, and interferons are reviewed and their cellular sources, targets, receptors, signaling pathways, and roles in immune regulation in patients with allergy and asthma and other inflammatory diseases are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fungi: the neglected allergenic sources
TL;DR: This review aims to highlight the impact of fungal allergens with focus on asthma and atopic dermatitis by highlighting the role of fungi as a prominent source of allergens in basic research as well as in clinical practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser-Assisted Intradermal Delivery of Adjuvant-Free Vaccines Targeting XCR1+ Dendritic Cells Induces Potent Antitumoral Responses
Dorothea Terhorst,Even Fossum,Anna Baranska,Samira Tamoutounour,Camille Malosse,Mattia Garbani,Reinhard Braun,Elmira Lechat,Reto Crameri,Bjarne Bogen,Sandrine Henri,Sandrine Henri,Sandrine Henri,Bernard Malissen,Bernard Malissen,Bernard Malissen +15 more
TL;DR: The existence of functionally equivalent X CR1+ dermal DCs in humans should permit the translation of laser-assisted intradermal delivery of a tumor-specific vaccine targeting XCR1+ DCs to human cancer immunotherapy, and facilitate the development of safer vaccines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential cytokine induction by the human skin-associated autoallergen thioredoxin in sensitized patients with atopic dermatitis and healthy control subjects.
Susanne Hradetzky,Lennart M. Roesner,Annice Heratizadeh,Reto Crameri,Mattia Garbani,Annika Scheynius,Thomas Werfel +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Equine dendritic cells generated with horse serum have enhanced functionality in comparison to dendritic cells generated with fetal bovine serum.
Anja Ziegler,Helen Everett,Eman Hamza,Eman Hamza,Mattia Garbani,Vinzenz Gerber,Eliane Isabelle Marti,Falko Steinbach +7 more
TL;DR: Equine monocyte-derived dendritic cells generated in the presence of horse serum were found to be superior in their functional T lymphocyte priming capacity and to elicit significantly less non-specific proliferation.
