Adjusting the frameworks of polymeric silver(I) complexes with 2-aminopyrimidyl ligands by changing the counterions
Yueh-Hua Wang,Kuan-Lun Chu,Huan-Ching Chen,Chun-Wei Yeh,Zhi-Kai Chan,Maw-Cherng Suen,Jhy-Der Chen,Ju-Chun Wang +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Ag2(L)2(SO4) with 2-amino-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine (L′) in H2O has been shown to form a pleated molecular sheet consisting of twenty four-membered metallocycles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and Characterization of Bioplastic-Based Green Renewable Composites from Tapioca with Acetyl Tributyl Citrate as a Plasticizer.
Chi-Hui Tsou,Chi-Hui Tsou,Maw-Cherng Suen,Wei-Hua Yao,Jen-taut Yeh,Chin-San Wu,Chih-Yuan Tsou,Shih-Hsuan Chiu,Jui-Chin Chen,Ruo Yao Wang,Shang-Ming Lin,Wei-Song Hung,Manuel Reyes De Guzman,Chien-Chieh Hu,Kueir-Rarn Lee +14 more
TL;DR: The results revealed that excessive plasticizer would cause the migration of ATBC and decrease the tensile properties, and mixing ATBC with PLA/tapioca/MDI blends did exhibit the effect of plasticization and biodegradation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and properties of biodegradable polycaprolactone/polyurethanes by using 2,6-pyridinedimethanol as a chain extender
TL;DR: In this paper, 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and poly(e-caprolactone) diol (PCL) were used to prepare a prepolymer and then 2,6-pyridinedimethanol was used as a chain extender to prepare new polyurethane, PCL/PDM-PUs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rendering polypropylene biocomposites antibacterial through modification with oyster shell powder
Chi-Hui Tsou,Chi-Hui Tsou,Chin-San Wu,Wei-Song Hung,Wei-Song Hung,Manuel Reyes De Guzman,Chen Gao,Ruo-Yao Wang,Chen Jian,Neng Wan,Yu-Jun Peng,Maw-Cherng Suen +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, thermally treated oyster shell powder (TTOSP) and modified polypropylene (PP) were examined to determine which of them is more effective as a bactericidal agent that can be incorporated into a modified PP to prepare biocomposites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibacterial Property and Cytotoxicity of a Poly(lactic acid)/Nanosilver-Doped Multiwall Carbon Nanotube Nanocomposite.
Chi-Hui Tsou,Wei-Hua Yao,Yi-Cheng Lu,Chih-Yuan Tsou,Chin-San Wu,Chen Jian,Ruo Yao Wang,Chaochin Su,Wei-Song Hung,Manuel Reyes De Guzman,Maw-Cherng Suen +10 more
TL;DR: A novel method was used to synthesize a nanosilver-doped multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT-Ag), and subsequently, the novel poly(lactic acid) (PLA)- and MWCNT- Ag-based biocompatible and antimicrobial nanocomposites were prepared by melt blending.
