Raman scattering experiments have been performed in diluted magnetic semiconductor Ga1 - xMnxSb prepared by liquid phase epitaxy. The Raman spectra measured from various Ga1 - xMnxSb samples show GaSb-like phonon modes, which are found to be shifted in lower frequency direction due to Mn composition. The compositional dependence of LOGsSb phonon frequency has been suggested with the combination of Raman scattering and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) experiments. Using the compositional dependence of LOGsSb, the Mn compositions estimated from various Ga1 - xMnxSb samples are found to be in good agreement with those evaluated by EDX analysis. Furthermore, the frequency positions of MnSb-like phonon modes are determined by reduced-mass model.

Spiral antennas are commonly used in communication systems due to their compact size, wide bandwidth and circularly-polarized radiation. This paper shows the design, simulation and analysis of two different types of spiral antenna; the Archimedean and Equiangular spiral. The spirals were designed to be working in the frequency range of 1–4 GHz using the CST Microwave Studio (CST MWS) software. These spiral antennas were designed and analyzed in two conditions; with and without a ground plane. Performance comparisons between the spirals were analyzed in terms of active region, current distribution, return loss S 11 , gain and radiation pattern.

are widely deployed horizontally. However, this is not the case in the indoor environment where femtocells have to be
arranged vertically; such as, in residential towers where apartments are on the top of each other. In this paper, the state of
the art of link and system level simulators is introduced. In addition, a three-dimensional (3D) system level simulator is
developed in order to help the researcher in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) femtocell field to analyze and investigate
more real scenarios of femtocell deployment. The developed simulator allows the researcher to locate a multi-story
building in the region of interest, choose the number of floors, determine the ceiling height, and allocate the position of the
femtocell inside the house.
