Chemical composition and antifungal properties of essential oils of three Pistacia species.

TL;DR: The chemical composition of essential oils obtained from the leaves of Pistacia vera, Pistacia terebinthus, Pistacia lentiscus and the resin of Pistacias lentiscUS were analyzed and alpha-Pinene, beta-pinene, limonene, terpinen-4-ol andalpha-terpineol were found to be the major components of antifungal activities.

Antioxidant activity of stem and root extracts of Rhubarb (Rheum ribes) : An edible medicinal plant

TL;DR: In this article, the antioxidant potential of both extracts of roots and stems of Rheum ribes was evaluated using different antioxidant tests, namely total antioxidant (lipid peroxidation inhibition activity), DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging, superoxide anion radical scavenges, ferric reducing power (CUPRAC), and metal chelating activities.

Isolation and characterization of antioxidant phenolic compounds from the aerial parts of Hypericum hyssopifolium L. by activity-guided fractionation.

TL;DR: Although, I3,II8-biapigenin and hypericin were able to show highest antioxidant activity, they had the lowest DPPH radical-scavenging activities, it can be suggested that these compounds may be used as potential antioxidants.

In vitro antioxidant, anticholinesterase and antimicrobial activity studies on three Agaricus species with fatty acid compositions and iron contents: A comparative study on the three most edible mushrooms

TL;DR: Agaricus species, particularly Agaricus bitorquis might be useful as antioxidant agents and moderate anticholinesterase agents, and their extracts will probably be used for development of dietary foods, food products and additives.
