Features of annual and semiannual variations derived from the global ionospheric maps of total electron content

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the NASA-JPL global ionospheric maps of total electron content (TEC) to construct TEC maps and used them to estimate the annual-to-mean amplitude ratio, A1, and the semiannual-to mean amplitude ratio A2, as well as the latitudinal symmetrical and asymmetrical parts, A' and A" of A1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Propagation properties of foreshock cavitons: Cluster observations

TL;DR: In this article, a multipoint spacecraft analysis method, including the timing method, the minimum directional derivative (MDD) method, and the spatiotemporal difference (STD) method are applied to determine the velocity in both spacecraft and solar wind frames.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ion-Scale Flux Rope Observed inside a Hot Flow Anomaly

TL;DR: In this paper, an ion-scale flux rope was observed at the trailing edge of a hot flow anomaly, which could be generated during the magnetic reconnection, indicating that reconnection could occur locally within foreshock transients and contribute to their particle acceleration.
