Aortic Stiffness of Kidney Transplant Recipients Correlates with Donor Age
Michel Delahousse,Michel Chaignon,Laurent Mesnard,Pierre Boutouyrie,Michel E. Safar,Thierry Lebret,Myriam Pastural-Thaunat,L. Tricot,Anne Kolko-Labadens,Alexandre Karras,Jean-Philippe Haymann +10 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that the impact of kidney transplantation on recipient aortic stiffness is dependent on donor age and suggest that ongoing damage to large arteries might contribute to the mechanism underlying the association of old-donor kidneys and increased cardiovascular mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Renin-angiotensin system blockade promotes a cardio-renal protection in albuminuric homozygous sickle cell patients.
Jean-Philippe Haymann,Jean-Philippe Haymann,N. Hammoudi,Katia Stankovic Stojanovic,Frédéric Galactéros,Anoosha Habibi,V. Avellino,Pablo Bartolucci,Yahia Benzerara,Jean-Benoît Arlet,Morad Djebbar,Emmanuel Letavernier,Emmanuel Letavernier,Gilles Grateau,Nathalie Tabibzadeh,Alexei Girshovich,Michel Chaignon,Robert Girot,Pierre Levy,François Lionnet +19 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that ACEIs are safe and effective at decreasing albuminuria in sickle cell patients with a beneficial effect on specific mortality risk factors, such as TRV and asymmetric dimethyl arginine.
Journal ArticleDOI
Delayed angioplasty after renal thrombosis
Laurent Mesnard,Michel Delahousse,Alain Raynaud,Gilles de Tovar,Myriam Pastural,Michel Chaignon,Philippe Aubert,Jean-Philippe Haymann +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that detection by ultrasonography of a venous renal flow could be of significant value to assess a collateral vascularization and thus should require an arteriography with angioplasty even after a delayed presentation.
Journal ArticleDOI
From arterial stiffness to kidney graft microvasculature: Mortality and graft survival within a cohort of 220 kidney transplant recipients.
Lynda Cheddani,Camelia Radulescu,Michel Chaignon,Alexandre Karras,Yann Neuzillet,J P Duong,Nahid Tabibzadeh,Emmanuel Letavernier,Michel Delahousse,Jean-Philippe Haymann +9 more
TL;DR: Aortic stiffness measured 3 months after kidney transplantation is a strong predictor of mortality with no obvious influence on kidney graft microvasculature or graft loss.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hemodynamic and biological correlates of glomerular hyperfiltration in sickle cell patients before and under renin-angiotensin system blocker
Jean-Philippe Haymann,Nadjib Hammoudi,Marine Livrozet,Aline Santin,S. Mattioni,Emmanuel Letavernier,Vincent Frochot,Camille Saint Jacques,Olivier Steichen,Gilles Grateau,Michel Chaignon,François Lionnet +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the influence of cardiac output on measured glomerular filtration rate (mGFR) in homozygous sickle cell nephropathy.
