Journal ArticleDOI

Antiviral and cytotoxic activities of aminoarylazo compounds and aryltriazene derivatives

TL;DR: Seven aminoazocompounds and 27 aryltriazene derivatives exhibited antiviral activity, sometimes of high level, against one or more viruses, while a marked activity against BVDV and YFV was prevailing among the former compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antiviral Activity of Benzimidazole Derivatives. I. Antiviral Activity of 1-Substituted-2-[(Benzotriazol-1/2-yl)methyl]benzimidazoles

TL;DR: Most compounds exhibited potent activity against RSV, with EC50 values as low as 20 nM, and some compounds, in particular when bearing a (quinolizidin‐1‐yl)alkyl residue, were also moderately active against BVDV, YFV, and CVB2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quinolizidinyl derivatives of bi- and tricyclic systems as potent inhibitors of acetyl- and butyrylcholinesterase with potential in Alzheimer's disease

TL;DR: Several quinolizidinyl derivatives of bi- and tricyclic (hetero)aromatic systems were studied as dual, or BChE-selective inhibitors, and may represent hits for the development of interesting single-entity multi-target drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antiviral activity of benzimidazole derivatives. III. Novel anti-CVB-5, anti-RSV and anti-Sb-1 agents

TL;DR: A library of eighty-six assorted benzimidazole derivatives was screened for antiviral activity against a panel of ten RNA and DNA viruses and these scaffolds represent valid starting points to develop more efficient agents against pathologies caused by CVB-5, RSV, BVDV and Sb-1 viruses.
