TL;DR: It is found that CYP1B1 and CYP2C9 SNPs help to predict erosive disease in seropositive patients and this results are the first to suggest a RF-specific association of steroid hormone-related polymorphisms with erosives disease.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Novel method for early bearing fault detection based on dynamic stability measure
TL;DR: Results confirm the feasibility to study the stability in both free-fault and fault bearing signals to detect automatically early faults in the bearings by using recorded vibration signals.
Book ChapterDOI
An Online Learning-Based Adaptive Biometric System
TL;DR: This chapter lists and discusses a few out of many potential learning techniques that can be applied to build an adaptive biometric system and builds an adaptiveBiometric system to illustrate the efficacy of one of the incremental learning techniques from the literature.
Book ChapterDOI
2D vs 3D Online Writer Identification: A Comparative Study
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of an online writer identification system while processing 2D and 3D data acquired by a tablet while writing on-paper and a smartwatch, respectively, was compared.
Journal ArticleDOI
Skewed sex ratios in a newly established osprey population
TL;DR: It is suggested that changes in offspring sex ratio during colonization processes, together with differences in dispersal pattern between sexes, could influence colonization rate and the probability of success of future reintroduction projects.
