CAIDE Dementia Risk Score and biomarkers of neurodegeneration in memory clinic patients without dementia
Daniela Enache,Daniela Enache,Alina Solomon,Alina Solomon,Lena Cavallin,Lena Cavallin,Ingemar Kåreholt,Ingemar Kåreholt,Milica G. Kramberger,Milica G. Kramberger,Dag Aarsland,Dag Aarsland,Dag Aarsland,Miia Kivipelto,Maria Eriksdotter,Maria Eriksdotter,Bengt Winblad,Bengt Winblad,Vesna Jelic,Vesna Jelic +19 more
TL;DR: The CAIDE Dementia Risk Score version with APOE seemed to predict dementia better in this memory clinic population with short follow-up than the version without APOE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term dementia risk prediction by the LIBRA score: A 30-year follow-up of the CAIDE study.
Kay Deckers,Mariagnese Barbera,Sebastian Köhler,Tiia Ngandu,Tiia Ngandu,Martin P.J. van Boxtel,Minna Rusanen,Tiina Laatikainen,Tiina Laatikainen,Frans R.J. Verhey,Hilkka Soininen,Miia Kivipelto,Alina Solomon,Alina Solomon +13 more
TL;DR: This study aimed to examine the predictive accuracy of the “LIfestyle for BRAin Health” (LIBRA) score, a weighted compound score of 12 modifiable risk and protective factors, for dementia and mild cognitive impairment in midlife and late‐life, and in individuals with high or low genetic risk based on presence of the apolipoprotein (APOE) ε4 allele.

TL;DR: The Amyloid Imaging to Prevent Alzheimer's Disease–Diagnostic and Patient Management Study (AMYPAD‐DPMS) is designed to fill the gap in reimbursement of amyloid–positron emission tomography.

Development of a Late-Life Dementia Prediction Index with Supervised Machine Learning in the Population-Based CAIDE Study
Timo Pekkala,Anette Hall,Jyrki Lötjönen,Jussi Mattila,Hilkka Soininen,Tiia Ngandu,Tiina Laatikainen,Tiina Laatikainen,Miia Kivipelto,Miia Kivipelto,Miia Kivipelto,Alina Solomon,Alina Solomon +12 more
TL;DR: The supervised machine learning method performed well in identifying comprehensive profiles for predicting dementia development up to 10 years later and could be useful for identifying individuals who are most at risk and may benefit from dementia prevention interventions.
