Sleep disturbances and later cognitive status: a multi-centre study

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the associations between sleep disturbances in mid-life and late life and late-life cognitive status in four population-based studies (three Swedish studies: H70 study, Kungsholmen Project (KP), and The Swedish Panel Study of Living Conditions of the Oldest Old (SWEOLD); and one Finnish study: Cardiovascular Risk Factors, Aging and Dementia (CAIDE), participants provided self-reports on insomnia, nightmares and general sleep problems.

Serum Insulin and Cognitive Performance in Older Adults: A Longitudinal Study.

TL;DR: In this paper, the association of serum glucose, insulin, and insulin resistance with cognitive functioning 7 years later in a longitudinal population-based study of Finnish older adults was examined, and multiple linear regression was used to investigate the associations with cognitive performance at follow-up, after adjusting for several potential confounders including common vascular risk factors.
