Worldwide Patterns of Ancestry, Divergence, and Admixture in Domesticated Cattle
Jared E. Decker,Stephanie D. McKay,Megan M Rolf,JaeWoo Kim,Antonio Molina Alcalá,Tad S. Sonstegard,Olivier Hanotte,Anders Götherström,Christopher M. Seabury,Lisa Praharani,Masroor Ellahi Babar,Luciana Correia de Almeida Regitano,Mehmet Ali Yildiz,Michael P. Heaton,Wan Sheng Liu,Chu Zhao Lei,James M. Reecy,Muhammad Saif-Ur-Rehman,Robert D. Schnabel,Jeremy F. Taylor +19 more
TL;DR: It is argued that cattle migration, movement and trading followed by admixture have been important forces in shaping modern bovine genomic variation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nutrigenomic Interventions to Address Metabolic Stress and Related Disorders in Transition Cows
Faiz-ul Hassan,Asif Nadeem,Maryam Javed,Muhammad Saif-Ur-Rehman,M. A. Shahzad,Jahanzaib Azhar,Borhan Shokrollahi +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , nutritional supplements, including polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, dietary amino acids, and phytochemicals have been shown to modulate energy homeostasis through different pathways, leading to addressing metabolic issues in transition cows.
Journal ArticleDOI
Whole-genome SNP markers reveal runs of homozygosity in indigenous cattle breeds of Pakistan.
TL;DR: A substantially higher number of ROH islands detected in dairy breeds indicated the impact of the positive selection pressure over the years and important candidate genes and QTL were detected in the ROH Islands associated with economic traits like milk production, reproduction, meat, carcass, and health traits in dairy cattle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of BRCA1 185 del AG with early age onset of breast cancer patients in selected cohort from Pakistani population.
TL;DR: BRCA1-185 Del AG mutation has association with early age onset of breast cancer and the direct sequencing is very useful approach for BRCA analysis and exon specific selected cohort from Pakistani population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fat digestion and metabolism: effect of different fat sources and fat mobilisers in broilers diet on growth performance and physiological parameters – a review
Muhammad Shoaib,S. A. Bhatti,Shahzad Ashraf,M.A. Hamid,Najam us-Sahar,Muhammad Mansoor Javed,Shafaq Amir,Noreen Fatima Aslam,A. Roobi,Hafiz Hassan Iqbal,Muhammad Arslan Asif,Usman Nazir,Muhammad Saif-Ur-Rehman +12 more
TL;DR: The use of emulsifier and lipase in broilers diet improves growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and intestinal histology in chicken as mentioned in this paper , and it can be concluded that using emulsifiers and lipases in chicken diet can improve growth performance and nutritional digestibility.
